Customizable Alerts Let Dispatchers Monitor Vehicle and Driver Activity
All Discrete Wireless MARCUS6 users are able to utilize 12 customizable real-time email alerts. A user who deploys the MARCUS V8 real-time alerts can manage fleets by exception. The Alerts feature provides you with the capability to establish alert thresholds and to specify alert notification emails. Alerts may be sent to any email-enabled desktop computer or other device. The various types of alerts that can be enabled include:
 

Arriving at a Specific Location

Notification of vehicles arriving at a user defined location. Administrators can create any number of locations. Locations are named circular areas that overlay any area of a map.

Departing a Specific Location

Motion

Notification if there is any movement of a vehicle during a set time period. For instance if the vehicle moves between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Settings include:

Extended Stop

Notification if a vehicle remains stopped for longer than a defined time. Settings include:

Speed

Notification if vehicles ever exceed a defined maximum speed. Settings include:

Sensor Active

Notification if a sensor is activated. For sensors that are normally off. Ex. If a door is opened, lift is activated, etc. Settings include:

Sensor Inactive

Notification if a sensor is deactivated. For sensors that are normally on. Ex. If an alarm is turned off, refrigeration unit fails, etc. Settings include:
